62 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR, RECEIVE AND EXPEND <br />FUNDS FROM FEDERAL, STATE AND OTHER AGENCIES NOT PRESENTLY <br />BUDGETED IN THE 1980-81 SCHOOL BUDGET; DIRECTING THE SCHOOL <br />BOARD TO REPORT RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF SUCH F~DS TO <br />THE CITY MANAGER. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, educational funds from a variety of governmental <br />agencies become available during the fiscal year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in many occasions, priority of funding is based <br />upon time application. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the School Board of the <br />City of Portsmouth is authorized to make application for, <br />receive and expend funds from federal, state and other govern- <br />mental agencies not presently budgeted in the 1980-81 School <br />Budget. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent of Schools <br />is directed to advise the City Manager of the total sum received <br />and expended. <br /> <br /> This resolution shall become effective from the date of <br /> its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br /> at a meeting held August 12, 1980. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
