54 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />FOR THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH DESIGNATED CP-80-1. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Code of Virginia, <br />every governing body shall adopt a <br />July 1, 1980; and <br /> <br />1950, requires that <br />Comprehensive Plan by <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Conumission made a careful and <br />comprehensive survey and study of the existing ~onditions <br />and trends of growth, and of the probable future requirements <br />of the City and its inhabitants; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, prior to the recom- <br />mendation, gave notice and held public hearings on the plan <br />as required by law, and prepared and recommended a <br />Comprehensive Plan for the physical, social and economic <br />development of the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has held <br />public hearings, with notice as required by law, and considered <br />the proposed Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> That the Co~prehensive Plan <br />Virginia, designated CP-80-1 be, <br />adopted. <br /> <br />for the Ci~ of Portsmouth, <br />and hereby'is approved and <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held June 24, 1980. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
