53 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIE~RS FOR CLOSING OF A PORTION OF <br />RUTTER STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Curtis Coan has made application to vacate, <br />close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of <br />Rutter Street, and it appearing that notice of application <br />and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted <br />on June 9, 1980, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court <br />of the City of Portsmouth; the General District Court (Civil <br />Division) of the City of Portsmouth; and the City Hall Building <br />of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Henry P- <br />Crowe, Jr. R. Wilkerson, Belvin W. Blacln~an, Frank N. Bilisoly <br />be appointed viewers and Harrison Miller be appointed an <br />alternate viewer in the event one of the preceeding viewers <br />fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter- <br />described p~¢tion o~ Rutter Street and-to report to this <br />Council, in writing, ~¢hether in their opinion any, and if any, <br />what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following described street: <br /> <br />RUTTER STREET <br /> <br />Beginning on the west side of Peninsula <br />Avenue as the same would be extended 225 ft. <br />from its intersection with the so~th right- <br />of-way with Columbia Street; t~ence wes~ <br />305.95 ft.; thence southwest 100 ft.; thence <br />southeast 60 ft.; thence east 344.62 ft. to <br />the west right-of-way line of Peninsula <br />Avenue; thence north along the western right- <br />of-way of Peninsula Avenue 60 ft. to the <br />point of beginning (S-69-6). <br /> <br /> Adopted by Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held June 24, 1980. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
