WHEREAS,' this Council is cognizant of the conditions that <br />are ±mposed.by the provisions of %he Housing and Co--unity <br />Development Act of 1974, as amended, including those pro- <br />hibiting discrimination because of race, age, color, creed, <br />sex or national origin; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ in the judgment of this Council it is in the <br />interest of the City and its inhabitants that the said Plan <br />be approved. <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth: ~ - <br /> <br /> 1. That it is kereby found and determined that the <br />Project is a bl±ghted, deteriorated, or deteriorating area <br />and qualifies an eligible project area under Title 36 of <br />the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended. <br /> <br /> 2. That the Plan for the Project having been duly <br />reviewed and considered, is hereby approved and the City <br />Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of said Plan with <br />the minutes of this meeting, <br /> <br /> ~dopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held June 9, 1981. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
