.75 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY A <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY EASEMENT TO VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER <br />COMPANY ON PROPERTY LOCATED ON THESOUTH SIDE OF CHURC~ND <br />BOULEVARD (CHURC~LANDACADE~). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Departmentof Highways and <br />Transportation is widening Churchland Boulevard in the <br />vicinity of Churchland kcade~y .Elementary School;and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said project will facilitate vehicular <br />traffic near the intersection of Churchland Boulevard <br />and West Norfolk Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Electric & Power Company has requested <br />a right-of-way easement for the purpose of relocating electric <br />po~er transmission lines in order to facilitate said street <br />improvement project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth owns property along <br />the south side of Ch~rchland Boulevard, known as the Churchland <br />Academy Elementary School, over which said electric power <br />transmission lines will be relocated. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE. IT RE~OLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, that the City Manager bs, and <br />he 'hereby is, authorized to conveyto Virginia Electric and <br />Power Company a right-of-way easement on property located <br />on the south side of Churchland Boulevard (Churchtand Academy <br />Elementary 'School~; said right-of-way easement being more <br />particularly described on the attached plat entitled "Virginia <br />Electric & Power Company Plat To Accompany Right-Of-Way Agree- <br />merit, R/W 35830." <br /> <br /> BE tT FURTHER resolved that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to execute such documents as may be <br />necessary to complete this transaction. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held September 29, 1981. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
