A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO OPERATE A HOUSE OF WORSHIP <br />AT 505 RAPIDAN STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEP~EAS, Healing_ Temple Pentecostal Church, by John R. <br />Savage, Minister, made an application pursuant to Section <br />40-71(b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, <br />for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter-described; <br />and <br /> <br /> W~_EREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have <br />done all things required to be done in connection with said <br />application; and <br /> <br /> WHE~S, the Planning Cor~mission has recommended the <br />granting of said use permit. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> % <br /> <br /> 1. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter- <br />described is sought: <br /> <br /> (a) Will not adversely affect the health and safety <br />of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the pro- <br />posed use; <br /> <br /> (b) <br />injurious to <br />and <br /> <br /> Will not be detrimental to the public use or <br />the property or improvements in the neighborhood; <br /> <br /> (c) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the <br />Zoning Chapter of the City Code. <br /> <br /> 2. H~aling Temple Pentecostal Church is hereby granted <br />a use permit pursuant to Section 40-71(b) of the Code of the <br />City of Portsmouth to operate a House of Worship at the.property <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />UP-82-5 <br /> <br /> Beginning on the east side of Rapidan Street <br />332.18 feet north from its intersection with Green- <br />wood Drive; thence easterly 150 feet; thence north- <br />erly 247.11 feet; thence westerly 150 feet to the <br />east side of Rapidan Street; thence southerly along <br />said east side of Rapidan Street 254.18 feet to the <br />point of origin. <br /> <br /> <br />
