15 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF AMELIA AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Charles D. Johnson has made application to <br />vacate, close, and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of Amelia Avenue, and it appearing that notice of <br />application and r~quest for the appointment of viewers has <br />been duly advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Lenon Vann, <br />H. G. Harriston, James H. Griffin and James L. Linehan be <br />appointed viewers, and that James Moss and L. A. Clarke be <br />appointed alternate viewers in the even~ one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br />hereinafter-described oortion of such street and to reoort <br />to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and <br />if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating and <br />the following: <br /> <br />kMELIA AVENUE <br /> <br /> Ail that certain part of Amelia Avenue south <br />of its intersection with Clifford Street and north <br />of its intersection with Griffin Street. The por- <br />tion of Amelia Avenue being closed is 60 feet in <br />width and 217 feet in length.
