(2) When the City performs the installation and <br />connection, a connection fee of six hundred fifty dollars <br />(650.00) shall be made for each point of connection to the City <br />sewage collection system. <br /> <br /> (b) Commercial, office and institutional: <br /> <br /> (1) The availability fee for commercial, office <br />or institutional developments shall be computed by dividing the <br />estimated rate of flow as calculated pursuant to criteria for <br />such ~evelopment as set forth by the State of Virginia sewage <br />regulations by three hundred twenty gallons I320) per day. <br />The result thereof shall be multiplied by one hundred fifty <br />dollars (150.00) to determine the total fee for the development. <br /> (2) The connection fee for commercial, office <br /> and institutional applicants shall be as in subsection (a) (2) of <br /> this section. <br /> <br /> (c) Industrial: <br /> (1) All industrial connections shall be in <br />accordance with applicable portions of the City's industrial <br />waste ordinance and applicable state or federal pretreatment <br />and/or or categorical standards for particular types of industry. <br /> (2) The availability fee and connection fee for <br />industrial applicants shall be as in subsection (a) (1) and <br />subsection (a) (2) of this section. <br /> <br /> (d) General: <br /> (1) Where an existing lateral is available to <br />the property, the applicant shall pay an-inspection fee of one <br />hundred fifty dollars (150.00) to have the Director of Public <br />Utilities, or his representative, determine if the existing <br />lateral is of adequate size, material and condition in accordance <br />with City of Portsmouth regulations. If such inspection of an <br />existing lateral is requested by the applicant, the availability <br />fee shall be waived. If the existing lateral is found to be <br />inadequate in accordance with City regulations, the connection <br />fee as set forth in subsection (a) (2) of this section shall be <br />applicable. <br /> (2) When a building has been removed from a <br /> site, the appropriate charge will be made whenever the new <br /> connection is made. This will apply to any connection whether or <br /> not is has been in use before. <br /> (3) When one or more connections in addition to <br /> existing connections or standard connections as hereinabove <br /> specified in this section are made to a residential, commercial <br /> or industrial building, the cost for each such additional <br /> <br /> <br />
