The <br />applicant shall display his copy of the permit to any <br />police officer or Parks and Recreation Department <br />employee upon demand. <br /> <br /> (c) No person shall ente~ any park area posted as <br />"Closed to the Public", nor shall any person use or <br />encourage the use of any area in violation of posted <br />notices. Any section or part of any park or recreation <br />area may be declared closed to the public by the <br />Directo~ of Parks and Recreation at any time and for any <br />interval of time either temporarily o~ at ~e§ular stated <br />intervals (daily or otherwise), and either entirely o~ <br />confined to certain uses as the Director of Parks and <br />Recreation shall deteFmine. <br /> <br /> (d) Police officers may ~emove or ask anyone to <br /> leave any public park or recreation area when that <br /> person's conduct is such as to disrupt the general <br /> public or when allowing said person to remain in any <br /> public park or recreation area could lead to a more <br /> serious breach of the peace. Police officers may close <br /> the entire pa~k when conditions exist that, if allowed <br /> to continue, could seriously jeopardize the safety and <br /> well-being of any persons within the pa~k. <br /> <br /> (e) Any person who shall violate the provisions of <br /> this section shall be punished by a fine of not less <br /> than ten ($10.00) dollars nor mo~e than a five hundred <br /> (S500.00) dollars or by confinement in jail not <br /> exceeding thirty (-30) days, either or both. <br /> <br /> Section 24-86. Alcoholic beverages, drug§, controlled <br /> substances or any other intoxicating <br /> substance. <br /> <br /> Possession and/or consumption of alcoholic <br />beverages, drugs, o~ controlled substances as defined in <br />§54-524.2 (6) of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, <br />o~ any othe~ intoxicating substance in any part of any <br />City park, recreation area, or playground area, is <br />prohibited except as noted herein.
