immediately adjacent thereto in accordance with the <br />provisions of this Article and such supplementary <br />regulations as may be issued by the Director of Parks <br />and Recreation. <br /> <br /> (d) Persons operating a vehicle in any park, <br />recreation area or playground area shall observe all <br />traffic signs indicating sDeed, direction, caution, <br />stopping or parking and all others posted for prope~ <br />control and to safeguard life and property. <br /> <br /> (e) A violation of this section shall constitute a <br />traffic infraction punishable by a fine of not more than <br />one hundred ($100.00) dollars. <br /> <br />Section 24-80. Speed limits. <br /> <br /> The maximum speed limit within a park shall be 15 <br />miles per hour, provided that the City Manage~ may <br />decrease or increase the speed limits after an <br />engineering and traffic investigation, and such new <br />speed limit shall become effective when indicated upon <br />the ~oadway by signs. Rates of speed in excess of the <br />posted speed limit are prohibited. <br /> <br /> A violation of this section shall constitute a <br />traffic infraction punishable by a fine of not more <br />one hundred ($100.00) dollars. <br /> <br />than <br /> <br />Section 24-81. Gambling. <br /> <br /> Gambling in any park is prohibited and shall be <br />punishable as a Class 3 misdemeanor. <br /> <br /> Any person bringing into any park or having in his <br />possession while there, any implement or device commonly <br />used, or intended for gambling purposes, shall be guilty <br />of a Class 1 misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Section 24-85. Closing hours generally. <br /> <br /> (a) It shall be unlawful for any person, without a <br />permit issued by the Director of Parks and Recreation as <br />hereinafter provided, to go onto or enter upon any <br />portion of any City park or ~ecreation area during hours <br />when the park or zecreation area is designated as <br />closed. Hours of opening and closing shall be <br />designated by the City Manager, or his designee, and <br />posted therein for public information. <br /> <br /> (b) Upon the application of any person desiring to <br />use the City Park boat ramp for purpose of launching or <br />retrieving a boat during hours prohibited above, the <br />Director of Parks and Recreation shall issue a permit <br /> <br /> <br />
