(c) No person shall use or ride any motorized <br />vehicle, mlnibike, moped, or motorcycle off of the <br />roadway or in any area not designated or customarily <br />used for vehicle travel in any park, parkway, beach, or <br />any grounds for recreational or playground use, unless <br />on authorized official business for the City of <br />Portsmouth or pursuant to an authorized permit issued by <br />the Director of Parks and Recreation. <br /> <br /> (d) A viol&tion of this section shall constitute <br />traffic infraction punishable by a fine of not more <br />than one hundred ($100.00) dollars. <br /> <br />Section 24-78. Standing and parking. <br /> <br /> (a) No owner or driver shall cause or permit a <br />vehicle to stand anywhere in any park or recreation area <br />or playground outside of designated parking spaces. <br />Motorists in such areas may stop for a reasonable time <br />in a driveway area to receive or discharge passengers. <br /> (b) No person shall park a vehicle in any park, <br />recreational area or playground area except iQ an <br />established or designated parking a~ea, and such use <br />shall be in accordance with the posted direction o~ with <br />the instruction of any park ranger o~ police officer <br />who may be present. <br /> <br /> (c) A violation of this section shall constitute a <br /> traffic infraction punishable by a fine of not more than <br /> one hundred (S100.00) dollars. <br /> <br /> Section 24-79. Entering and leaving parks, vehicle <br /> operation. <br /> <br /> (a) No person shall enter or leave any park, <br /> recreation area or playground area except by the <br /> roadways or streets designated and in the direction <br /> indicated for such purposes. <br /> <br /> (b) No person shall operate a vehicle in any park <br /> in violation of the applicable provisions of the state <br /> and City traffic laws in regard to equipment and <br /> operation of vehicles, or in violation of such <br /> regulations as are contained in this Article and other <br /> chapters of this Code. <br /> <br /> (c) persons operating a vehicle in any park, <br /> ~ecreation area, or playground area, shall obey all <br /> police officers and park rangers, such persons being <br /> hereby authorized and instructed to direct traffic <br /> wheneve~ and wherever needed in parks, recreational <br /> a~eas, and playground a~eas, and on the streets or roads <br /> <br /> <br />
