42 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE FOR THE CONSIDERATION <br />BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 1984-85 OPERATING BUDGET, THE <br />IMPOSITION AND LEVYING OF TAXES AND FEES FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />RAISING REVENUE FOR THE SUPPORT OF GOVERNMENTAL OPERATIONS <br />AND THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND GENERAL REVENUE SHARING. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That a special meeting of the City Council was held <br />on April 24, 1984 at 2:30 p.m., Sixth Floor, City Hall, for <br />the purpose of holding a budget work session. <br /> <br /> 2. That a special meeting of the City Council will be <br />held on May 3, 1984 at 7:00 P. M. at T.A. Willett A~ditorium <br />at Woodrow Wilson High School for the purpose of a public <br />hearing on the 1984-85 operating budget, the imposition and <br />levying of taxes and fees for the purpose of raising revenue <br />for the support of goverramental operations and the public <br />schools and general revenue sharing. <br /> <br /> 3. That a special meeting of the City Council will be <br />held on May 15, 1984 at 7:~0 p.m. in the Council Chambers, <br />Sixth Floor, City Hall for the purpose of final adoption of <br />a 1984-85 operating budget, the imposition and levying of <br />taxes and fees for the purpose of raising revenue for the <br />support of governmental operations and public schools, and <br />general revenue sharing and such other matters as may be <br />deemed appropriate. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia at a meeting held April 24, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
