31 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A <br />PORTION OF PENINSULA AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Timothy A. Wood and Dorothy J. Wood have <br />made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Peninsula Avenue, and <br />it appearing that no%ice of application and request for <br />the appointment of viewers was duly advertised as required <br />by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, J. R. <br />Wilkerson, Howard L. Davis, George N. Powers, Sr. and C. <br />L. Knight, be appointed viewers, and that James L. Linehan <br />and L. A. Clark be appointed alternate viewers in the event <br />one of the preceding viewers fails~to participate, said <br />viewers to view the hereinafter-described portion of such <br />street and report to this Council in writing whether in <br />their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would <br />result in vacating and closing the.following: <br /> <br />PENINSULA AVENUE <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of Peninsula <br />Avenue from the north right-of-way of Matthews <br />Terrace north to the low water mark of Scotts <br />Creek. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia <br />at a meeting held April 10, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
