C7) Maximum allowable floor area for newly constructed <br />buildings shall not exceed two ~2) feet of floor area for each <br />square foot of land area comprising the lot er parcel. No <br />addition to an existing building, no accessory building or <br />structure may be erected when such construction will increase <br />the floor area to land area ratio so as to exceed the <br />above-stated maximum or will increase a ratio which presently <br />exceeds the above-stated maximum. <br /> <br /> ~8) No addition to an existing building and no accessory <br /> building or structure may be erected in any required front or <br /> side.yard. No addition may be erected in any required rear <br /> yard. No accessory building or structure maybe erected <br /> ~,lthin three ~3) feet of any lot line~ <br /> <br /> (9) Historic Residential Subdistricts Cradock, Truxtun, <br /> Port.Norfolk and Park View: <br /> <br /> The secretary of the Commission of Architectural <br /> Review may in any Historic Residential Subzone dealing with <br /> "Cradock", "Truxtun", "Port Norfolk" and "Park Vie~", issue <br /> in accord with the provisions of this chapter certain certi- <br /> ficates of appropriateness- The secretary's failure to issue <br /> such certificate within thirty ~30~ days shall forward the <br /> application to the Commission of Architectural Review. A <br /> written report shall accompany any such application- The <br /> Commission of Architectural Review may issue a certificate <br /> of appropristeness. The secretary shall, in writing, report <br /> to the Conmlission of Architectural Review at each regular <br /> meeting on all certificates so issued. <br /> <br /> The secretary of the Commission of Architectural Review <br /> may approve the following items (when colors, materials, types <br /> and designs conform with those defined by %he Commission of <br /> Architectural Reveiw}: <br /> <br /> (a) Paint colors; <br /> ~fb~ Exterior doors; <br /> (C) Windows; <br /> ~d} Fences; <br /> re) Storm windows and doors; <br /> ~fl Vinyl or aluminum siding; <br /> (g) Roof shingles or roof covering materials provided <br /> that there is no change in the design or contour <br /> of the roof; <br /> (k} Shutters. <br /> All exterior work not falling within the above criteria, <br />or using other than approved materials, must be approved by <br />the Commission of Architectural Review. <br /> <br /> <br />
