such nature that it may be lawfully affected without a permit <br />from the building official, provisions of this article to the <br />contrary notwithstanding, nor to prevent any repair, maintenance, <br />painting, demolition, or alteration of any such feature <br />which the building inspector shall certify to be required by <br />the public safety because of any unsafe or dangerous condition. <br /> <br /> 10. That Section 40-123 be amended by addition thereto <br />subparagraph If) to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 40-123. Certificate of Compliance. <br /> <br /> (f) The secretary of the Committee may approve the follow- <br />ing items (when colors, materials, types and designs conform <br />with those defined by the Committee): <br /> <br />(1) Awnings; ~ <br />(2) Fences; <br />(3) Gutters and downspouts; <br />(4) Paint colors; <br />(5) Repairs replacing the worn out material or <br /> part with same material, same design, and <br /> with same color; <br />(6) Roof-shingles or roof covering materials <br /> provided that there is no change in the design <br /> or contour of the roof; <br />(7) Shutters~ <br />(8) Storm windows and doors; <br />(9) Vinyl and aluminum siding. <br /> <br /> 11. That Section 40-123 be amended by adding thereto <br />subsection (g) to read as follows: <br /> <br />gection 40-123. Certificate of Compliance. <br /> <br /> (g) The certificate of compliance shall be valid for <br />a one (1) year period from date of issuance. <br /> <br /> 12.
