AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF NOTTAWAY AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, has made appli- <br />cation to vacate, close, and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of.Nottaway Avenue; and <br /> W~EREAS, by a resolution adopted by this Council on March ~ <br />13, 1984, viewers were appointed pursuant to ~15.1-364, Code of <br />Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter-described <br />portion of said street, and to report in writing whether in their <br />opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from <br />discontinuing said street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said viewers have repotted in writing that in <br />their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing of said <br />street; and <br /> <br /> WR~REAS, the Planning Commission has recommended approval <br /> of the closure of said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br /> of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter-described portion <br /> of Nottaway Avenue be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br />NOTTAWAY AVENUE <br /> <br />at <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of Nottaway Avenue <br />extending south from the southern right-of-way of <br />Dartmouth Street for a distance of 108.5 feet. <br />(S-84-4). <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />a meeting held June 12, 1984. <br /> <br />Virginia, <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
