AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF AUGUSTA AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, David B. Mason and Linda G. Mason have made <br />application to vacate, close, and discontinue the hereinafter- <br />described portion of Augusta Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by a resolution of this Council adopted April <br />24, 1984, viewers were appointed pursuant to ~15.1-364, Code <br />of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view %he hereinafter-described <br />portion of said street, and to report in writing whether in <br />their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result <br />from discontinuing said street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said viewers have reported in writing that in <br />their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing <br />and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter-described portion <br />of Augusta Avenue be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br />AUGUSTA AVENUE <br /> <br /> Ail that portion of Augusta Avenue from its <br />irrkersection with Clifford Street north to its <br />intersection with Bart Street.
