AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING THE INITIAL PARAGRAPH OF SECTION 40-102 (B), AND BY ADDING TO SAID SECTION.~A.._NEW SUBSECTION DESIGNATED 4.2, AND BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 10 THEREOF, PERTAINING TO HISTORIC DISTRICT BUILDING REGULATIONS. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the ~nitial paragraph of §40-102 (B) be amended to read as follows: (B) Historic Residential. The following regulations shall apply to the Historic Residential Subdi'stric~ and to all structures used only for residential purposes located in the Historic Limited Office Subdistrict. In Cradock, requirements applicable to the Residential R-75 Zoning District as prescribed, shall continue to apply. Historic Residential as applicable to Olde Towne shall apply to Port Norfolk Historic District and Park View Historic District in all aspects other than the exceptions and special conditions provided for herein. Furthermore, conversions shall be permitted under a use permit puovision in the Olde Towne, Port Norfolk and Park View Historic Districts as provided for in subparagraphs (10) and (11) herein. 2. That §40-102 (B) be amended by adding thereto subsection 4.2, such new subsection to read as follows: (4.2) New buildings in the Olde Towne Historic District and the Park View Historic District may be erected on lots which conform to the following schedule: Minimum Lot Size in Building Type Square Feet Single family/duplex ...... 3,045 Three (3) dwelling units ...... 4,570 Four (4) dwelling units ...... 6,090 One (1) additional unit permitted for each feet. 3,045 square 3. That ~40-102 (B) (10) be amended to read as follows: (10) Conversions in Olde Towne Historic District, Port Norfolk Historic District and Park View Historic District under Historic Residential Zoning:
