zoning ordinance. <br /> <br />SECTION 12-29: FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS. <br /> <br /> Fire suppression systems shall be installed and <br />maintained in full operating condition in buildings 50 <br />or more in height for which building permits are issued <br />July 1, 1986. <br /> <br />feet <br />after <br /> <br />SECTION 12-30. VIOLATIONS OF CODE. <br /> <br /> (a) Any person who shall violate any of the provisions <br />of the fire prevention code adopted in this divIsion, or <br />shall fail to comply therewith, or who shall violate or fail <br />to comply with any order made thereunder, or who shall build <br />in violation of any detailed statement of specifications or <br />plans submitted and approved thereunder, or any certificate <br />or permit issued thereunder, and from which no appeal has <br />been taken, or who shall fail to comply with such an order as <br />affirmed or modified by the city council or by a court of <br />competent 3urisdiction, within the time fixed therein, shall <br />severally for each and every such violation and <br />noncompliance, respectively, be guilty of a misdemeanor <br />punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars <br />($1,000.00) or by imprisonment for not more than twelve (12) <br />months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The <br />Imposition of one penalty for any violation shall not excuse <br />the violation or permit it to continue; and all such persons <br />shall be required to correct or remedy such violations or <br />defects within a reasonable time. <br /> <br />SECTION 12-31: FIRE CODES INCORPORATED. <br /> <br /> Unless specifically provided for in other ordinances or <br />codes each and every standard and recommended practice set <br />forth in the volumes of the National Fire Codes, 1984 Edition <br />and all amendments thereto published by the National Fire <br />Protection Association is incorporated in this article by <br />reference as a part of the Fire Prevention Code, as fully as <br />if set out at length herein. <br /> <br />SECTION 12-32: REPEALED. <br /> <br />DIVISION 2. BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION. <br /> <br />SECTION 12-41: ESTABLISHED. <br /> <br /> A bureau of the fire department to be known as the <br />bureau of fire prevention is hereby established. <br /> <br />SECTION 12-43: GENERAL POWERS, DUTIES OF CHIEF INSPECTOR. <br /> <br /> The chief inspector of the bureau of fire prevention <br />shall be under the general supervision of the chief of the <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br /> <br />
