interfere in any way with, or deny entry to, the fire <br />official or his designated representative while in lawful <br />performance of his duty, shall be deemed guilty of a <br />misdemeanor. <br /> <br /> (c) When such entry is refused, the fire official <br />shall, have recourse to any other remedy provided by law or <br />equity to secure entry. <br /> <br />SECTION F-102.3 OF SAID BOCA BASIC/NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION <br />CODE, 1984 EDITION, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS.: <br /> <br />F-102.3: INVESTIGATION OF FIRES. <br /> <br /> (a) The fire official shall investigate or cause to be <br />investigated any reported fire or explosion causing a loss of <br />life or severe injury, or extensive destruction or damage to <br />property, and all offenses involving fires, fire bombings, <br />bombings, attempts or threats to commit such offenses, false <br />alarms relating to such offenses and possession and/or <br />manufacture of explosive devices, substances and fire bombs <br />occurring within the jurisdiction. Such investigation shall <br />be pursued until its conclusion. <br /> <br /> (b) The chief fire inspector or any investigator shall <br />immediately take charge of any physical evidence, relating to <br />the cause and origin of such fire or explosion, and preserve <br />such physical evidence until it has been properly processed. <br /> <br />SECTION 105.3.3 OF SAID BOCA BASIC/NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION <br />CODE, 1984 EDITIOn, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />F-105.3.3: UNSAFE CONDITIONS. <br /> <br /> The fire official ~hall order the sealing of (thereby <br />preventing the use of) any existing device or appliance <br />including, but not limited to, those of heating, electrical <br />or mechnical nature and components of fuel transportation, <br />storage, distribution and utilization systems, or any other <br />device or appliance found to be defective or in violation of <br />this chapter's requirements for existing appliances after <br />giving notice to this effect to any person, owner, firm, <br />agent or oDerator in charge of same. The fire official may <br />seal any device or appliance without notice when inspection <br />shows the existence of an immediate fire hazard or a <br />condition which may imperil human life. The sealed defective <br />appliance shall remain withdrawn from service until all <br />necessary repairs or alternatives have been made.
