AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 7-30 OF THE CODE OF %HE CITY <br />OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, PERTAINING TO SCHEDULE OF PRICES AND <br />CHARGES FOR WORK FOR CEMETERY GRAVE OPENINGS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that Section 7-30 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 7-30. Schedule of prices and charges for work <br /> performed; payment. <br /> <br /> (a) The following schedule of prices is hereby <br />established for work performed in the several cemeteries <br />the City: <br /> <br />in <br /> <br /> (1) For opening graves four (4) feet and under in <br />length, one hundred fifty dollars (S150.00). <br /> <br /> (2) For opening of graves over four (4) feet in lengthw <br />three hundred dollars ($300.00). <br /> <br /> (3.) For opening graves for burials after 4:00 p.m. an <br />additional charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) is imposed. <br /> <br /> (4) For disinterrIng and reinterring bodies, the charge <br />will be double that which is quoted above. <br /> <br /> (b) The above fees and charges shall be paid before the <br />work is performed and a receipt shall be taken therefore. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 12, 1987. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
