by City employees· T]~e specific years of service <br />recognized will be i0 years, and 15 years, (Steps <br />L1 and L2, respectively, in the PAY SCHEDULE). <br /> <br />Advanaement to the first Longevity step, L1, will be <br />contingent upon the attainment of at least 10 years <br />of service and completion of at least one year in <br />the G or Gt step· Advancement to the sesond Longev- <br />ity step, L2, will be contingent upon the attainment <br />of at least 15 years of service and completion of at <br />least one year in the L1 step. <br /> <br />Employees who are currently in the G, Gt, or LI step, <br />but lack the required years of service will remain on <br />that step until the required years of service have <br />been completed. <br /> <br />(d) Administrative Salary Adjustments <br /> <br />The City ~{anager retains the authority to make administrative <br />salary adjustments, including authorization to pay compensation <br />above the maximum step of assigned pay grades. The reasons for <br />adjustments include, but are not limited to: <br /> <br />1. Performance recognition, positive or negative; <br /> <br />Approval of departmental requests for special <br />salary actions, positive or negatmve; <br /> <br />3. Correction of verified errors in application of <br /> the Pay Plan. <br /> <br />(e) Application <br /> <br />The Director of Personnel is responsible for application <br />of the ComFensatipn and Salary AdjustmeDt section as it <br />relates to the three parts of this Pay Plan: <br /> <br />1. REGULATIONS FOR ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />2. CLASSES OF POSITIONS ASSIGNED TO PAY GRADES <br /> <br />3. PAY SCHEDULE <br /> <br />This responsibility includes clarification and resolution <br />of any problem or quesnion not sFecifically covered by <br />the Classifization and Pay Plan. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. Allowances <br /> <br />The rate of pay set forth in this schedule shall be deemed <br />to include the full compensation of the employee; however, <br />the value of any allowances made to the employee by the <br />City shall also be considered a part of total compensation. <br /> <br /> <br />
