(a) General Increases <br /> <br />The City Manager may recommend the granting of Gen- <br />eral Increases for all persons classified under this <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Such General Increases <br />the PAY SCHEDULE such <br />reflect the increase. <br /> <br />will be applied directly To <br />that each grade and step shall <br /> <br />When a General Increase is granted, there is no move- <br />ment on the PAY SCHEDULE; the employee retains the <br />same grade and step designation. <br /> <br />(b) Ingrade Progression <br /> <br />Employees will receive Ingrade Progression, where <br />applicable, on the basis of their position on the PAY <br />SCHEDULE of this Classification and Pay Plan. Specially, <br />those employees on the A, B, C, D, etc., steps, will <br />continue to progress at the rate of one step per year, on <br />these steps, until they teac? the G step (A, B, C, D, E, F, <br />G). Any employee on a former shaded "t" or transitional <br />step, will continue to progress in the same manner as <br />employees on the standard letter steps. <br /> <br />The exception to standard ~ngrade Progression is that any <br />employee who has attained the former Ft transitional step <br />in the PAY SCHEDULE, will progress to the former Gt transi- <br />tional step on his/her anniversary date, only if the <br />employee has attained ten (10) years City service. If such <br />employee has attained the former Ft step with less than ten <br />(10) years City service, his/her progression will be to the <br />former Gt step. Unon attainment of this last step ~f the <br />PAY SCHEDULE, paragraph (c) below, pertaining to longevity <br />increases, applies. <br /> <br />No employee may receive more than one Ingrade Progression <br />per year except under the provisions of paragraph (e) below. <br /> <br />Ingrade Progression may be withheld from employees by the <br />Department Head upon submission of two (2) Unsatisfactsry <br />Performance Evaluations to the employee. One Performance <br />Evaluation must have been conducted prior to, and one <br />subsequen~ to, three months before the employee becomes <br />eligible for the Ingrade Progression. <br /> <br />Any non-probationary employee whose performance is such <br />that Ingrade Progression is withheld for two consecutive <br />years, will be demoted or terminated. <br /> <br />Longevity Increases <br /> <br />Steps L1 and L2 are included in the Pay Plan solely <br />for the purpose of recognizing service attainment <br /> <br /> <br />
