C. The chief of police may call into service persons <br />who were members of the auxiliary police force prior to <br />July 1, 1987 and who had been trained in accordance with <br />the requirements in effect prior to said date, in order to <br />aid and assist regular police offiers in the performance of <br />their duties. <br /> <br />Section 29-17. Powers, immunities of members. <br /> <br /> A. The memDers of the auxiliary police force called <br />into service by the city manager shall have all the powers <br />and authority and all the immunities of constables at <br />common law. <br /> <br /> B. The members of the auxiliary police force called <br />into service by the chief of police, shall have all the <br />powers and authority and all the immunities of full-time <br />law enforcement officers. <br /> <br /> 2.
