33 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE 1987-88 OPERATING BUDGET, THE IMPOSITION <br />AND LEVYING OF TAXES AND FEES FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING <br />REVENUE FOR THE SUPPORT OF GOVERNMENTAL OPERATIONS AND THE <br />PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AND GENERAL REVENUE SHARING. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That a public work session of the City Council will <br />be held on April 21, 1987 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council <br />Chambers, 6th Floor, City Hall, for the purpose of the City <br />Manager submitting to the City Council the Proposed 1987-88 <br />Operating Budget. <br /> <br /> 2. That a special meeting of the City Council will be <br />held on April 29, 1987 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, <br />6th Floor, City Hall, for the City Council to conduct a <br />public hearing on the 1987-88 Operating Budget, the <br />imposition and levying of taxes and fees for the purposes of <br />raising revenue for the support of governmental operations <br />and the public schools, and general revenue sharing. <br /> <br /> 3. That a special meeting of the City Council will be <br />held on Wednesday, May 6, 1987 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council <br />Chambers, 6th Floor, City Hall, for the purpose of <br />consideration by the City Council of the 1987-88 Operating <br />Budget, the imposition and levying of taxes and fees for the <br />purpose of raising revenue for support of governmental <br />operations and the public schools, and general revenue <br />sharing and such other matters as may be deemed appropriate. <br /> <br /> 4. That at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting <br />of May 12, 1987 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 6th <br />Floor, City Hall, the City Council shall consider final <br />adoption of the 1987-88 Operating Budget, the imposition and <br />levying of taxes and fees for the purpose of raising revenue <br />for the support of governmental operations and the public <br />schools, and general revenue sharing and such other matters <br />as may be deemed appropriate. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held April 14, 1987. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
