NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth that it requests, within thirty days from <br />the date of adoption of this resolution, the resignation of <br />those members of the School Board appointed by the Council to <br />terms commencing prior to July 1, 1986 in order to permit the <br />appointment of new members to the School Board to assure the <br />objective evaluation of those matters of concern being raised <br />by the public. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she <br />hereby is, directed to forward a copy of this resolution to <br />the Chairman and members of the Portsmouth School Board. <br /> <br /> AdoDted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held April 14, 1987. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
