19 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />WILCOX AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jasper T. Davis has made application to vacate, <br />close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of <br />Wilcox Avenue, and it appearing that Notice of Application and <br />Request for Appointment of Viewers has been adgertised as <br />~equired by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia', that Richard D. Ottavio, Waldo Davis, <br />William Choate, James H. Griffin and James L. Linehan be <br />appointed viewers and that Matthew Peanort and George N. <br />Powers, Sr., be appointed alternate viewers in the event one <br />of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to <br />view the hereinafter-described portion of such street and to <br />report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br />wilcox Avenue <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />described as that portion of Wilcox Avenue <br />bounded on the north by the properties of <br />Portsmouth Humane society, Sidney Moore, Sr., <br />and Cora M. Moore, Map Parcels 147-36 through <br />39; bounded on the east and south by property <br />of Jean M. Davis, Map Parcel 149-1; bounded on <br />the west by property of Jean M.
