AN ORDINANCE CLOSING PORTIONS OF TROTTER, HYMAN AND DUNCAN <br />STREETS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter described portions ~of Trotter, Hyman and Duncan <br />Streets; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted August 9, <br />1988, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter <br />described portions of said streets and to report in writing <br />whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience <br />would result from discontinuing said portions of Trotter, <br />Hyman and Duncan Streets; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that <br /> in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing <br /> and discontinuing of said streets. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br /> of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described <br /> portions of Trotter, Hyman and Duncan streets be closed and <br /> vacated as public streets. <br /> <br />Trotter Street <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land <br />situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, known, designated and described as that <br />portion of Trotter Street bounded on the northwest <br />by the extension across Trotter Street of the <br />northwestern line of the property conveyed to th~ <br />Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />by deed from Mamie Blanchard Pierce, etc., et ux., <br />dated November 3, 1982 and recorded in the Clerk's <br />Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia in Deed Book 839 at page 620 and bounded <br />on the southeast by its southeastern termination. <br /> <br />H_H_H_H~an Street <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land <br />situate, lying and being in the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia known, designated and <br />described as that portion of Hyman Street bounded <br />on the north by the southern right-of-way line <br />of Duncan Street and bounded on the south by its <br />southern termination. <br /> <br /> <br />
