AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 2-42 (b) THEREOF, <br />PERTAINING TO THE DATE, TIME OF REGULAR MEETINGS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />as follows: <br /> <br />2-42 (b) of the Code of the City of <br />1973, be amended and reordained to read <br /> <br />Section 2-42. Date, time of regular meetings. <br /> <br /> (b) There shall be regular meetings of the City Council, <br />unless otherwise provided by special resolution, beginning at <br />7:00 p. m. on the Monday preceding the 2nd Tuesday in each <br />month. Public hearings which the Council are required to hold <br />under Chapter 11 of Title 15.1 of the Code of Virginia may be <br />held at the meetings specified in this subsection, but nothing <br />herein shall be construed as prohibiting the continuation of <br />any such public hearing to any other time or place. <br /> <br />2.
