AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF HIGH POINT DRIVE. WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, Virginia has made application to vacate and close and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of High Point Drive. WHEREkS, by a Resolution of this Council adopted August 2, 1988, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter described portion of said street and to report writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from discontinuing the herein described street; and in WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and discontinuing of said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the herein described portion of High Point Drive be closed and vacated as a public street. HIGH POINT DRIVE Ail that certain strip of land, situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia and being that portion of High Point Drive as shown on the Plat of Pinehurst, Section One, duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 22, page 93 as follows to-wit: Beginning at a point on the southern side of High Point Drive at the southeastern corner of Lot 32 as shown on the Plat of Pinehurst, Section One; thence running in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of Lot 32 a distance of 25 feet to a point; thence running east 50 feet to a point on the western boundary of Lot 19; thence running in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Lot 19 a distance of 25 feet to a point on the northern boundary of High Street; thence running easterly along the northern boundary of High Street a distance of 50 feet to the Point of Beginning.
