AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A 16 FOOT ALLEY ON THE EAST SIDE OF TYRE <br />NECK ROAD BETWEEN FAWKES STREET AND ERIC STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the New Community Church of God in Christ has <br />made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter described 16 foot alley on the East side of Tyre <br />Neck Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted February <br />28, 1989, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter <br />described said alley and to report in writing whether in their <br />opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result from <br />discontinuing said alley; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing <br />and discontinuing of said alley. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described 16 <br />foot alley on the East sdie of Tyre Neck Road between Fawkes <br />Street and Eric Street be closed and vacated as a public <br />alley. <br /> <br /> Ail that portion of the 16' alley between <br />the 5800 Block of Fawkes Street and Eric Street, <br />Portsmouth, Virginia beginning at the intersection <br />of the alley with Tyre Neck Road on the West <br />end of the alley and running east to the <br />intersection of the alley with Railroad <br />tracks as shown in Block 3 on that certain <br />plat entitled Plat of the Churchland Company, <br />which plat is recorded in the Clerk's <br />Office of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Chesapeake, Virginia in Map Book 18, at Page 85. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held September 12, 1989. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
