AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING SECTION 37-132 THEREOF PERTAINING <br />TO FARES FOR TAXICABS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that Section 37-132 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended by adding thereto <br />Subsection(9) as follows: <br /> <br />Section 37-132. Rates Established. <br /> <br /> (9) For transportation of passengers from the City to <br />points beyond the City limits, the above rates shall be <br />computed on a meter and a half basis, unless the owner of the <br />taxicab has a certificate to operate in the destination city. <br /> <br /> This ordinance shall take effect from the date of its <br />adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 23, 1989. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
