field of building construction and including two years of <br />experience as a building inspector. <br /> <br /> (c) Each building inspector shall have at least four (4) <br />years experience in the field of building construction. <br /> <br />Section 7-33. Division of electrical inspection. <br /> <br /> (a) The division of electrical inspection of the <br />department of building inspections shall be supervised by the <br />chief electrical inspector, who shall have such assistants as <br />may, from time to time, be authorized by the city manager and <br />appointed by the building official. The term "electrical <br />official," wherever used in the building code shall be <br />synonymous with the term "chief electrical inspector." <br /> <br /> (b) The chief electrical inspector shall be certified as <br />a master electrician or be exempt from certification, <br />according to the standards established by the state department <br />of housing and community development. <br /> <br /> (c) Each assistant electrical, inspector shall be <br />certified as a journeyman electrician, or be exempt from <br />certification, according to the standards established by the <br />state department of housing and c~mmunity development. <br /> <br />Section 7-34. Division of plumbing inspection. <br /> <br /> (a) The division of plumbing inspection of the <br />department of building inspections shall be supervised by the <br />chief plumbing inspector, who shall have such assistants as <br />may, from time to time, be authorized by the city manager and <br />appointed by the building official.
