- 3 - <br /> <br />synonymous with the term "chief mechanical inspector." <br /> <br /> (b) The chief mechanical inspector Shall be certified as <br />a master mechanical worker or be exempt from certification, <br />according to the standards established by the state department <br />of housing and community development. <br /> <br /> (c) Each mechanical inspector shall be certified as a <br />journeyman mechanical worker, or be exempt from certification, <br />according to the standards established by the state department <br />of housing and community development. <br /> <br />SectiOn 7-63. Types. <br /> <br /> Certificates required by <br />following types: <br /> <br />this division shall be of the <br /> <br />(1) Journeyman <br /> <br /> (2) Master. <br /> <br />Section 7-65. Reciprocity with other local governments. <br /> <br /> Any person having an established place of business in any <br />other city, town or county in the commonwealth and paying a <br />business license tax therein and holding a current certificate <br />as a master plumbing worker, master mechanical worker, master <br />electrical worker or as a building contractor issued by the <br />proper authority is eligible to perform work in this city <br />without the certificate required by this division. Any such <br />person shall post any required bond and shall comply with all <br />rules and regulations set forth in the building code and other <br />applicable ordinances. <br /> <br />Section 7-67. <br /> <br />General~qualifications of applicant- <br />Journeyman. <br /> <br /> Each applicant for a certificate under this division as a <br />journeyman must demonstrate sufficient knowledge, ability and <br />proficiency to meet the journeyman criteria set out in the <br />standards established by the appropriate board of examiners <br />and by the state department of housing and community <br />development. Applicants desiring to obtain certification as a <br />journeyman shall furnish evidence that one (1) or more of the <br />following experience and education standards have been <br />attained: <br /> <br /> (I) Four years of practical experience in the trade and <br />240 hours of formal vocational training, or <br /> <br /> (2) Successful completion of a registered apprenticeship <br />program, or <br /> <br />(3) A bachelors degree in the study of engineering in a <br /> <br /> <br />
