AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF SIXTH STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described <br />portion of Sixth Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted August 14, <br />1990, viewers were appointed pJrsuant to Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter <br />described portion of said street and to report in writing <br />whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience <br />would result from discontinuing said portion of Sixth Street; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result <br />and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br />writing that <br />from closing <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />portion of Sixth Street <br />street. <br /> <br />IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />that the hereinafter described <br />be closed and vacated as a public <br /> <br />City <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of Sixth Street <br />bounded on the north by the south right-of-way <br />of Henry Street and bounded on the south by the <br />north right-of-way of Lincoln Street as shown <br />on that certain plat entitled "Subdivision of <br />PortCentre Commerce Park" duly recorded in the <br />Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City <br />of Portsmouth in Map Book 13 at pages 253-256. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held November 13, 1990. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
