AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF FLOWERS STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Biltmore Baptist Church has made application <br />to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described <br />portion of Flowers Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted June 12, <br />1990, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter <br />described portion of said s~reet and to report in writing <br />whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience <br />would result from discontinuing said portion of Flowers <br />Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result <br />closing and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br />writing that <br />from the <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described <br />portion of Flowers Street be closed and vacated as a public <br />street. <br /> <br />Flowers Street <br /> <br /> Flowers Street west from the west side <br />of Noble Street to the east side of Wall Street. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City of Portsmouth hereby <br />reserves unto itself a perpetual easement, right and privilege <br />to install, operate, maintain and replace sewer mains, sewer <br />drains, sanitary sewers, storm drains, and/or drainage <br />ditches, over, under and across the hereinabove described <br />portion of Flowers Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held September 25, 1990. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
