Composition. <br /> <br />The Board of Directors shall be composed of: <br /> <br />The Chief Administrative Officers and the Chiefs of <br />Police of the cities of Hampton, Newport News, <br />Poquoson, Portsmouth, and Williamsburg, and the county <br />of James City; and the Chief Administrative Officer and <br />the Sheriff of the county of York, who shall each <br />represent their respective jurisdictions. <br /> <br />Two (2) Directors as follows: <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />One (1) Director representing members which are <br />sheriffs' departments with jail, courthouse <br />security, or civil process responsibilities. The <br />first such Director shall be elected by the <br />Academy Board of Directors to serve until December <br />31~ 1991. Thereafter, this Director is to be <br />elected annually during the month of December for <br />a term'of one year by the Sheriffs of any such <br />departments participating in the Academy at the <br />time of the election. In the event that the <br />Sheriffs fail to elect a successor as provided <br />above, the incumbent Director shall serve until a <br />successor is elected. <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />One (1) Director representing members which are <br />institutiona~.~epartments. The first such <br />Director shall be elected by the Academy Board of <br />Directors to serve until December 31, 1991. <br />Thereafter, this Director is to be elected <br />annually during the month of December for a term <br />of one year by the Chiefs of any such departments <br />participating in th~ Academy at the time of the <br />election. In the.event that the Chiefs fail to <br />elect a successor as provided above, the incumbent <br />Director shall serve until a successor is elected. <br /> <br />3. The Academy Director. <br /> <br />B.- Votinc. <br /> <br /> Each Charter Member jurisdiction and each Director described <br />in Section T~o, Paragraph A2, above, shall have one vote. The <br />Academy Director shall not vote. <br /> <br />C. Meetincs. <br /> <br /> The Board of Directors shall conduct its annual meeting each <br />year no later than December 20, at which meeting it shall elect <br />its chairman, vice-chairman, and such other officers as it may <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
