1991-91 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING SECTIONS 2-712, 2-713, <br />2-714, 2-715, AND 2-716(6) THEREOF, PERTAINING TO THE <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES BOARD. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 2-712, 2-713, 2-714, 2-715, and <br />2-716(6) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1988, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2-712. Composition; appointment of a board <br /> of directors. <br /> <br /> The Community Services Board shall have a board of <br />directors consisting of not less than five (5) nor more <br />fifteen (15) members appointed by the City Council. <br /> <br />than <br /> <br />Section 2-713. Terms of members. <br /> <br /> The term of office of each member of the board of <br />directors of the Community Services Board shall be for three <br />(3) years from the first day of July of the year of <br />appointment. <br /> <br />Section 2-714. <br /> <br />Filling of vacancies; limitations on members <br />of the board of directors serving successive <br />terms. <br /> <br /> Vacancies on the board of d~rectors of the Community <br />Services Board shall'~be filled for unexpired terms ih the same <br />manner as original appointments. No person shall be eligible <br />to serve more than two (2) successive terms; provided that any <br />persons heretofore or hereafter appointed to fill vacancies <br />may serve two (2) additional successive terms. <br /> <br />Section 2-715. <br /> <br />Removal of members of the board of <br />directors. <br /> <br /> Any member of the board of directors of the Community <br />Services Board may be removed by the Council for cause after <br />being given a written statement of the causes and an <br />opportunity to be heard thereon. <br /> <br /> <br />
