AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 40 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING TABLES 40-43.1-1, 40-43.1-2, 40-43.1-3, 40-44-1 AND 40-44-3 AND SECTIONS 40-71.1Id), 40-71.2Ia) and 40-56.2(c) THEREOF, PERTAINING TO ZONING. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That Table 40-43.1-1 of Chapter 40 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to require a use permit for the "Dwelling, Two-Family" use in Residential RT-75, Residential RM-75, and Residential ~4-60 Districts. 2. That Table 40-43.1-2 of Chapter 40 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to require a use permit for the "Dwelling, Two-Family" use in the Office Residential (0R-75) District. 3. That Table 40-43.1-3 of Chapter 40 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to require a use permit for the "Dwelling, Two-Family" use in the Downtown D-1-R (Residential), Downtown D-2-R (Residential), Downtown D-i-O (Office), and Downtown D-2-O (Office) Subdistricts. 4. That Table 40-44-1 of Chapter 40 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended by adding Note "e" thereto to read as follows: Table 40-44-1. DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: RESIDENTIAL ,.ZONING DISTRICTS. NOTES: e = For two-family dwellings, there shall be a minimum lot area of 10,500 square feet in the RM-75 and RT-75 districts and 8500 square feet in the RM-60 district. 5. That Table 40-44-3 of Chapter 40 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended by adding Note "b" thereto to read as follows: Table 40-44-3. DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: NON-RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICTS. NOTES: b = Residential development in the OR-75 and C-1 districts shall comply with the dimensional requirements for the ~4-75 district.
