Any sworn Officer of the Police Department assigned to the K-9 Corps, shall receive 3/4 of an hours pay per day at the prevailing minimum wage for all care and maintenance of the assigned animal. (h) Sworn personnel in the grades of Police Officer and Firefighter may receive special recognition as Master Police Officers or Master Firefighters. This recognition shall be equivalent to a one step increase in the employees' base salary for the duration of the period that the sworn person retains the "MASTER" designation. (i) Sworn personnel in the classification of Police Officer, Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, Police Captain, Police Major, Firefighter, Fire Lieutenant, Fire Captain, and Fire Battalion Chief will receive an Education Allowance in the amount of S500 per year for attainment of an Associate's degree or $1,000 per year for attainment of a Bachelor's degree. SECTION 12. Complements of Fire Department and Police Department (a) The authorized complement of the Fire Department shall be one Chief, one Deputy Chief, eight Battalion Chiefs, thirty-six Captains, thirty-five Lieutenants, and one hundred 5orty Firefighteus. (b) The authorized complement of the Police Department shall be one Chief, one Assistant Chief, three Majors, five Captains, fourteen Lieutenants, twenty-six Sergeants, and one hundred fifty-eight Police Officers. SECTION 13.
