If the <br />nonconforming use is abandoned, discontinued,er superseded by a <br />permitted use for any period of more than two years subsequent to April 25, <br />1961, the right to continuation of the nonconforming use sMll end and be of <br />no further effect. <br /> <br />REPAIRS PERMITTED. Nothing in this section shall prevent the owner of a <br />building or structure containing a nonconforming use from making such <br />repairs as are necessary to maintain the building or structure in a safe and <br />lawful condition in accordance with applicable building and safety codes and <br />applicable orders of any city official. <br /> <br />See. 40-164. Properties formerly zoned R-60-A. <br /> <br /> Any land, buildings, or improvements which were zoned R-60-A as of January 1, <br />1991 will be zoned RM-60 upon adoption of this chapter. In addition to the uses <br />permitted in RM-60 district, any building or improvements on said lands may be <br />used for the following purposes permitted under the former R-60-A classification <br />provided that the buildings or improvements existed on such lands as of January 1, <br />1991 in full conformance with all other applicable provisions of this chapter: <br /> <br />Agencies and offices rendering specialized serv:ces in the professions, finance, <br />real estate and brokerages. <br /> <br />Convalescent, nursing and foster homes conducted within the principal building <br />as an incidental home occupation. <br /> <br />Incidental accessory retail uses such as cafeterias, gift or variety shops, soda <br />bars conducted solely for the convenience of the employees, patients, patrons, <br />or visitors on the premises, wholly within the principal building and without <br />exterior advertising display. <br /> <br />Office buildings and professional offices. <br /> <br />Sees. 40-165 - 40-170.
