(f) <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the grades,of F~refighter, Fire Lieutenant, <br />and Fire Captain, serving' i~~' the Fire Prevention Bureau, <br />Training Bureau, and Administrative Office shall receive an <br />allowance of S45.00 per month as designated by the Fire Chief <br />and approved in advance by the City Manager. <br /> <br />(g) <br /> <br />Any sworn Office~ of the Police Department assigned to the K-9 <br />Corps, shall receive 3/4 of an hours pay per day at the <br />prevailing minimum wage for all care and maintenance of the <br />assigned animal. <br /> <br />(h) <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the grades of Police Officer and Firefighter <br />may receive special recognition as Master Police Officers or <br />Master Firefighters. This recognition shall be equivalent to a <br />one step increase in the employees' base salary for the <br />duration of the period that the sworn person retains the <br />"MASTER" designation. <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />Sworn personnel in the classification of Police Officer, Police <br />Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, Police Captain, Police Major, <br />Firefighter, Fire Lieutenant, Fire Captain, and Fire Battalion <br />Chief will receive an Education Allowance in the amount of $500 <br />per year for attainment of an Associate's degree or $1,000 per <br />year for attainment of a Bachelor's degree. <br /> <br />SECTION 12. Complements of Fire Department and Police Department <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />The authorized complement of the Fire Department shall be one <br />Chief, one Deputy Chief, eight Battalion Chiefs, thirty-six <br />Captains, thirty-five Lieutenants, and one hundred forty <br />Firefighters. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The authorized complement of the Police Department shall be one <br />Chief, one Assistant Chief, three Majors, five Captains, <br />fourteen Lieutenants, twenty-six Sergeants, and one hundred <br />fifty-eight Police Officers. <br /> <br />SECTION 13. Salaries for Unclassified PoSitions <br /> <br />(a) The annual salary rates of the following unclassified poSitions <br /> shall be the amount stated herein: <br /> <br />(1) City Manager $ 93,975 <br />(2) City Attorney 74,865 <br />(3) City Assessor 60,840 <br />(4) City Clerk 44,921 <br />(5) Mayor 15,000 <br />(6) Council Member 13,000 <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Part-time employees, whose Positions are not classified shall <br />receive compensation as prescribed by the Department Head and <br />the Director of Employee Resources and Development. <br /> <br />-8- <br /> <br /> <br />
