1992-83 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTHr VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING SECTION 2-63(a), (b), <br />AND (c) AND 2-68(a) THEREOF, PERTAINING TO ORDER OF BUSINESS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 2-63(a), (b), and (c) of the Code of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 2-63. <br /> <br />Order of Business. <br /> <br /> (a) <br />order of <br />shall be <br /> <br /> Except as otherwise provided in subsection (d), the <br />business at all regular meetings of the City Council <br />as follows: <br /> <br />(1) Roll call. <br /> <br />(2) Recognitions and presentations. <br /> <br />(3) Approval of minutes. <br /> <br /> (4) Remarks by citizens on nonagenda items. <br /> <br />-(5) Public hearings, but only if such hearings <br /> shall be part of the Council meeting. <br /> <br /> (6) Unfinished business: <br /> <br />a. Consent agenda; <br />b. Other unfinished business. <br /> <br />(7) Reports and recommendations from the City <br /> Manager. <br /> <br />(8) New business: <br /> <br />a. Appointments to Boards and Commissions; <br /> Items submitted by Council members; <br />c. Receipt of other communications. <br /> <br />(9) Adjournment. <br /> <br /> (b) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (d), the <br />order of business at all public hearings and regular meetings <br />on the Monday preceding the second Tuesday in each month of <br />City Council shall be as follows: <br /> <br />(I) Roll Call. <br /> <br />(2) Public Hearing. <br /> <br />(3) Adjournmenn. <br /> <br /> <br />
