1992-69 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 25 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, BY AMENDING ARTICLE VIII, SECTIONS <br />25-226, 25-227, AND 25-228 THERETO PERTAINING TO PARKS AND <br />RECREATION. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Article <br />25-228 of the Code of <br />be amended to read as <br /> <br />VIII, Sections 25-226, 25-227, and <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, <br />follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE VIII. <br /> <br />Willett Hall. <br /> <br />Section 25-226. Rental periods for determining charges. <br /> <br /> The charges for the use of Willett Hall shall be <br />determined by rental periods which shall be designated <br />by hourly or daily periods; and an hourly overtime rental <br />for use which extends beyond the contracted period. <br /> <br />rate <br /> <br />Section 25-227. Rental rates prescribed. <br /> <br /> For rental of Willett Hall, the lessees shall pay one of <br />the rates set out in this section: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Ticketed events. The rental rate for ticketed <br />events (events subject to the city admissions tax) <br />shall be four hundred fifty dollars ($450.00) or <br />four (4) percent of the gross receipts, exclusive of <br />taxes, whichever amount is larger. Rehearsal rental <br />periods of up to four hours shall be at the rate of <br />two hundred twenty-five dollars ($225.00) per rental <br />period; should additional rental time be used for <br />rehearsal, setting up or removing equipment, or <br />other preparation for the event, and the public is <br />not admitted, the fee shall be sixty dollars <br />($60.00) per hour and no fractions thereof shall be <br />permitted. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Nonticketed events. The rental rate for nonticketed <br />events (events not subject to the city admissions <br />tax) shall be four hundred fifty dollars ($450.00)° <br />Rehearsal rental periods of up to four hours shall <br />be at the rate of two hundred twenty-five dollars <br />($225.00) per rental period; should additional <br />rental time be used for rehearsal, setting up or <br />removing equipment, or other preparation for the <br />event, and the public is not admitted, the fee shall <br />be sixty dollars ($60.00) per hour and no fractions <br />thereof shall be permitted. <br /> <br /> <br />
