AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1988, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION <br />20-6t(b)(1)a. PERTAINING TO LICENSES. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 20-61(b)(1)a. of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 20-61. Alcoholic beverages. <br /> <br /> (b) Every person engaged in dispensing mixed beverages, <br />shall be liable for license taxes as follows: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Persons operating restaurants, including restaurants <br />located on premises of and operated by hotels or <br />motels: <br /> <br />For each restaurant with a seating capacity at <br />tables for up to one hundred (100) <br />persons, two hundred dollars ($200.00). <br /> <br /> 2.
