(d) <br /> <br />LANDSCAPING GROUP 4 (Interior Parking Area <br />Landscaping). Parking area landscaping consisting <br />of plantings designed to provide shading and ground <br />cover containing any variety of trees, shrubs, <br />plants and grasses, and including at least one (1) <br />tree per ten (10) parking spaces, said tree to be at <br />least one and one-half (1 1/2) inches in caliper, <br />measured at a point located six inches above <br />existing grade, at the time of planting. All trees <br />must be adequately dispersed throughout the parking <br />area. Any portion of a single landscaped area <br />exceeding three hundred fifty (350) square feet <br />shall not be given credit toward satisfying the <br />requirements of this Section. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />LANDSCAPING GROUP 5 (Decorative Planting Strip). <br />Decorative area of planting at least five (5) feet <br />in width and containing a combination of decorative <br />trees, shrubs and perennial flowers, plants and <br />grasses. At least fifty percent (50%) of the <br />planting area shall be designed to be covered by <br />shrubs. Shrubs shall be at least twenty-four (24) <br />inches high at time of planting. <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />LANDSCAPING GROUP 6 (Ground Cover). An area of <br />planting designed primarily for ground cover. At <br />least twenty-five percent (25%) of the landscaped <br />area shall be covered with any combination of trees,- <br />shrubs, or perennial flowers. The remainder of the <br />landscaped area shall be covered by ornamental <br />grasses, decorative mutcht or a combination thereof. <br /> <br /> 2. That Section 40-22 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended by amending the <br />definition of "Street, public~" contained therein, to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 40-22. Specific definitions. <br /> <br />STREET, PUBLIC. An existing street or a platted street, of <br />any width, dedicated and accepted for the use of the general <br />public~ graded and paved or to be graded and paved in order <br />that every person has the right to pass and use it at all <br />times, for all normal purposes of travel, transpcrtation or <br />parking to which it is adapted and devoted. <br /> <br /> 3. That Section 40-44.1(c) of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1988, be amended by adding thereto a new <br />subsection (iii) to read as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
