Section 37-37. Driver's manifest. <br /> <br /> Each public vehicle owner shall furnish the driver with a <br />manifest on forms to be approved by the City Manager which <br />forms shall have spaces provided for a record of the origin <br />and time of all calls, trips, destinations and the fares paid. <br />Such information shall be entered on the manifest at.the time <br />of occurrence. The manifest shall be retained by the owner of <br />the public vehicle for a period of thirty (30) days. The <br />manifest shall be open for inspection at all reasonable times <br />to the City Manager or his duly authorized agent and to any <br />members of the police department of this city or other cities. <br />Any manifest that may be taken from the possession of the <br />driver before it has been turned in to the owner shall, before <br />the same is used in any proceeding, civil or criminal, if <br />requested, be exhibited to the owner in order that a copy may <br />be had of the same. No owner shall permit any driver who <br />comes on duty to drive such public vehicle unless he has such <br />manifest in the vehicle. The manifest shall be delivered to <br />the owner at the termination of each driver's assignment. <br /> <br />Section 37-38. <br /> <br />Disposition of money, property left in <br />public vehicle. <br /> <br /> The person in charge for any public vehicle shall <br />carefully preserve any money or other property left in such <br />vehicle by any passenger and the same shall be promptly <br />deposited with the owner of the vehicle who shall deliver a <br />receipt for same and file in writing a report to police <br />headquarters and shall keep the same at some convenient point <br />within the city where the same may be called for by the owner. <br />When such money or other property shall have been identified <br />and ownership properly established, the same shall be promptly <br />delivered to such owner. Any property~ whether money or other <br />thing, which shall not be called for within sixty (60) days, <br />shall be disposed of according to law. <br /> <br />Section 37-61. Required. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful to operate, or cause to be operated, <br />within the city any public vehicle unless a certificate of <br />public convenience and neGessity therefor has been issued <br />pursuant to this division. <br /> <br />Section 37-67. Personal nature of certificate. <br /> <br /> Each certificate of public convenience and necessity <br />shall be issued subject to the conditions that the public <br />vehicle shall be operated only by the person to whom such <br />certificate is issued or his bona fide employee, and that <br />public vehicle shall not be loaned, rented, assigned or <br /> <br />such <br /> <br /> <br />
