up outside the limits of the city to some location in this <br />city. Additionally, nothing contained herein shall prohibit <br />such public vehicle licensed in another city or county, after <br />delivering a passenger to some location in'this city, from <br />picking up a passenger in this city and delivering such <br />passenger to the city or county wherein such public vehicle is <br />duly licensed; provided, however, that the city or county <br />wherein such public vehicle is duly licensed allows public <br />vehicles duly licensed in this city equal or greater rights <br />and privileges to operate withinlits boundaries as are <br />contained in this section in regard to public vehicles duly <br />licensed in other jurisdictions. <br /> <br />Section 37-24. Rules and r~gulations of City Manager. <br /> <br /> The City Manager is authorized and directed to make and <br />enforce such rules and regulations not in conflict with the <br />provisions of this article as he may deem proper to regulate <br />the operation of public vehicles in this City. Notice of <br />rules and regulations so promulgated shall be given to the <br />owners of public vehicles and shall become effective <br />twenty-four (24) hours after notice is given. <br /> <br />Section 37-25. <br /> <br />Duty of owner to pay license tax and other <br />fees and charges. <br /> <br /> The owner of a public vehicle shall pay the license tax <br />prescribed by Chapter 20 of this Code and other fees or <br />charges imposed by the City and all fees and license taxes <br />imposed upon such owner by state law. <br /> <br />Section 37-26. Sale or transfer of license. <br /> <br /> Licenses issued under Chapter 20 of this Code for <br />operating public vehicles within the City shall be sold or <br />transferred only with the consent and approval of the City <br />Manager. The person making such sale or transfer shall state <br />under oath, if the City Manager requires it, the selling price <br />of the license, the certificate of public convenience, and <br />necessity issued under this article and the public vehicle. <br />If the City Manager finds that the proposed sale or transfer <br />is other than bona fide, he shall refuse his consent to such <br />sale or transfer. <br /> <br />Section 37-28. Liability insurance. <br /> <br /> No public vehicle shall be operated on the streets of the <br />City unless the owner and driver are protected by liability <br />insurance issued by a company authorized to do business in the <br />state in such amounts as are required by the State Corporation <br /> <br /> <br />
