When a General <br />PAY SCHEDULE; <br />designation. <br /> <br />Increase is granted, there is no movemenE on the <br />the employee retains the same grade and seep <br /> <br />(b) Ingrade Progression <br /> <br />On and after July 1, 1994, movemenn shall be as follows: <br /> <br />Employees will recemve Ingrade Progressmon~ where applicable, <br />on the basis of their posimion on the PAY SCHEDULE of this <br />Classification and Pay Plan. Specifically, those employees on <br />the A, B, C, D, eEC., seeps, will connlnue no progress an the <br />raEe of one seep per year, on these seeps, until they reach the <br />0 seep. <br /> <br />No employee may receive more than one Ingrade Progression per <br />year excepE under the provisions of paragrauh {e) below. <br /> <br />Ingrade Progression may be withheld from employees by the <br />DeparmmenE Head upon submission of two (2) Unsatisfactory <br />Performance Evaluations Eo the employee. One Performance <br />Evaluation muse have been conducted prior no, and one <br />subsequenE co, three months before ~he employee becomes <br />eligible for the Ingrade Progresszon. <br /> <br />Any non-probationary employee whose performance is such that <br />Ingrade Progresszon is wiEhheld for two consecutive years, will <br />be demoted or terminated. <br /> <br />(c) Longevity Increases <br /> <br />On and after July 1, 1994, movemenE shall be as follows: <br /> <br />Steps L1 and L2 are included in the Pay Plan solely for the <br />purpose of recognmzing service aEEaznmenE by City employees. <br />The specific years of servzce recognized will be 10 years, and <br />15 years, (Steps L1 and L2, respectively, in the PAY SCHEDULE}. <br /> <br />Advancement to the firsE Longevity step, L1, will be contingenE <br />upon the attainment of aE least t0 years of service and <br />completion of aE least one year zn the O step Advancement Eo <br />the second Longevity seep, L2, will be contingenm upon the <br />attainment of am least fifEeen years of service and completion <br />of aE least one year ~n the L1 step. <br /> <br />Employees will be hired at the proper grade and step in <br />accordance with the applicable sections of this Classification <br />and Pay Plan. Those employees whose salary includes a minimum <br />wage supplement shall only receive an Ingrade Progression <br />increase if such step movement exceeds the current Federal <br />minimum wage. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
