accordance with the provisions of the Virginia Uniform <br />Statewide Building Code and the zoning ordinance. <br /> <br /> (d) The provisions of the chapter shall apply to all <br />auxiliary structures and equipment provided and maintained in <br />connection with public pools, including but not limited to: <br /> <br />(1) Locker rooms. <br />(2) Shower rooms. <br />(3) Dressing rooms. <br />(4) Disinfecting equipment. <br />(5) Safety equmpmenn. <br /> <br />Sec. 34-3. Definitions. <br /> <br /> The following <br />interpretation and the <br />"shall" as used herein, <br /> <br />definitions shall apply in the <br />enforcement of this chapter. The word <br />indicates a mandatory requirement. <br /> <br /> Administrative authority. <br />or his authorized agent. <br /> <br />The director of public health <br /> <br /> Hydrostatic relief valve. A valve which, when properly <br />installed will relieve underground water pressure caused by <br />high water table under the pool shell. <br /> <br /> Maximum load. The number of bathers permitted in the pool <br />area, no be determined by dividing the total water surface area <br />in square feet (or square meters) of the swimming, spa or <br />wading pool water space by twenty-seven (27) feed (8.18 <br />meters). <br /> <br /> Operator or manager. The person appointed or engaged to <br />conduct the operation and management of the swimming facility. <br /> <br /> Pool permit. A permit issued to the facility by the <br />administrative authority to allow for the operation of the <br />public pool. <br /> <br /> Operator's certificate. A certificate that proves <br />compeneney in pool operation issued by a source approved by the <br />administrative authority. <br /> <br /> Owner. <br />is issued. <br /> <br />The person mn whose name the license or use permit <br /> <br /> Pool management company. Any person, firm, corporation or <br />association contracting to manage or operate two (2) or more <br />public swimming pools. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
